Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 4 with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience; OR NDT / NCT / Diploma with 2 years of experience; OR City & Guilds IVQ Level with 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Practical, hands-on experience in setting out, structural work, finishing work, and project handover.
- Sound knowledge of construction drawings, site measurements, and execution workflows.
- Having a valid motorbike riding licence and owning a motorbike will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity or working knowledge of AI tools is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare basic construction schedules and systematically track progress against target milestones.
- Maintain high standards of finishing work and installation quality across the site.
- Coordinate materials needed for continuous and ongoing project activities.
- Coordinate directly with installers, main contractors, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings to verify work strictly complies with specifications.
- Identify on-site challenges, take appropriate corrective actions, and escalate issues when required.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and recommend practical methods to boost on-site efficiency.
- Maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with project teams, consultants, and relevant parties.
Required Skills
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Proven ability to handle assigned site activities independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours when necessary to meet tight project targets.
- Strong technical acumen, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving capability.
