Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate, Diploma, NVQ, or an equivalent qualification in Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in steel fabrication and welding.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Arc Welding techniques will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work at project sites.
- Experience in structural steel fabrication projects will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools, machinery, and safety procedures.
- A valid driving license will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, drill, grind, and assemble steel components accurately.
- Perform welding, fitting, and fabrication work for steel structures and assemblies.
- Ensure fabricated products meet company quality and safety standards.
- Carry out repairs and modifications to existing steel structures when required.
- Operate fabrication machinery, welding equipment, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Support site installation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
- Prepare fabrication work in accordance with project schedules and specifications.
