Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the building construction industry.
- Strong experience in preparing monthly progress bills.
- Experience in subcontractor work evaluation.
- Sound knowledge of cost breakdown and project cost management.
- Experience in material procurement and quantity estimation.
- Ability to manage multiple construction projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and certify monthly progress bills.
- Evaluate subcontractor work and payment claims.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project cost breakdowns.
- Manage material procurement and quantity planning.
- Monitor project budgets and control construction costs.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and suppliers.
- Ensure contractual compliance throughout project execution.
- Prepare quantity surveying reports and maintain project documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles.
- Excellent cost estimation and budgeting skills.
- Experience with construction contracts and procurement.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.
