Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance position.
  • Alternatively, a professional qualification in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLFRS/LKAS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • High level of accuracy in financial reporting and data management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and support the achievement of overall financial goals and objectives.
  • Manage finance department activities to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger, payroll, budgeting, and expense management.
  • Maintain accurate records of cash withdrawals, deposits, and banking transactions.
  • Monitor and control expenses within approved budgets.
  • Perform financial analysis and prepare management reports.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and generate financial statements.
  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including fee collection activities.
  • Evaluate existing accounting systems and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Identify and resolve invoicing discrepancies and financial-related issues.
  • Monitor resource requirements and support financial administration activities.
  • Assist in the development and management of organizational budgets.
