Qualifications & Experience
- Part qualification in CA, ACCA, or CIMA, or full qualification in AAT.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university will be an added advantage.
- Minimum one year of experience in a recognized audit firm or mercantile sector.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Tally.
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards (SLFRS/LKAS).
- Experience in procurement-related processes will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.
- Ability to learn quickly and handle assigned duties efficiently.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Knowledge of Sinhala and Tamil will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payments through cash, card, cheque, and bank transfer methods.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding school fee arrears.
- Maintain and regularly update the school’s fixed asset register.
- Handle end-to-end procurement activities including obtaining quotations, issuing purchase orders, and preparing Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Perform banking-related activities and financial reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support the Finance Division in day-to-day accounting operations.
