Qualifications & Experience

  • AAT fully qualified or partly qualified in CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or CMA.
  • Candidates with a relevant Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar taxation or accounting role.
  • Direct experience dealing with Inland Revenue Department (IRD) officials will be highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using RAMIS and related tax filing systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Candidates residing close to the Homagama area will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle monthly and annual tax compliance requirements, including VAT, SSCL, WHT, Income Tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and within deadlines through the RAMIS system.
  • Coordinate and maintain professional relationships with Inland Revenue Department (IRD) officials.
  • Assist with tax assessments, audits, clearances, and compliance-related activities.
  • Resolve tax-related inquiries and issues directly with relevant authorities.
  • Support general accounting operations, bookkeeping, and financial reporting functions.
  • Maintain accurate tax and accounting records.
  • Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist management with taxation-related reporting and documentation.
