Qualifications & Experience
- Passed the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination, preferably in the Commerce Stream.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cashier or in a related accounting position.
- Part qualification in Accounting or a diploma in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cashiering procedures and basic accounting practices.
- Candidates should demonstrate honesty, integrity, and a high level of personal discipline.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash floats and maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Accept cheques and other payment methods made to the company.
- Manage cash balancing, documentation, and banking activities efficiently.
- Maintain proper records of cash and cheque transactions.
- Assist with accounting-related administrative duties.
- Support the finance team with financial reporting and record-keeping tasks.
- Work on weekends and public holidays when required to support operational needs.
Required Skills
- Cash handling and reconciliation skills.
- Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP software and financial systems.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
