Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
- Membership in a recognized actuarial professional body or progress in actuarial examinations will be considered an added advantage.
- Entry-level experience in an actuarial role or completion of an actuarial internship is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA.
- Exposure to actuarial modelling tools will be beneficial.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform actuarial data analysis and experience investigations, including mortality, morbidity, lapse, and expense studies.
- Maintain and enhance actuarial models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in internal and statutory valuation processes.
- Support annual business planning and forecasting activities.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and documentation.
- Drive process improvements within actuarial operations.
- Develop an understanding of insurance products and policy administration systems.
- Support system validations and actuarial testing activities.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and IT teams to achieve business objectives.
- Assist in preparing actuarial reports and management information.
