Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
  • Membership in a recognized actuarial professional body or progress in actuarial examinations will be considered an added advantage.
  • Entry-level experience in an actuarial role or completion of an actuarial internship is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA.
  • Exposure to actuarial modelling tools will be beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform actuarial data analysis and experience investigations, including mortality, morbidity, lapse, and expense studies.
  • Maintain and enhance actuarial models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Participate in internal and statutory valuation processes.
  • Support annual business planning and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and documentation.
  • Drive process improvements within actuarial operations.
  • Develop an understanding of insurance products and policy administration systems.
  • Support system validations and actuarial testing activities.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and IT teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in preparing actuarial reports and management information.
