Qualifications & Experience
- Part qualification or full qualification in a recognized professional accounting body such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, auditing, or financial reporting functions is preferred.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting standards.
- Experience in a manufacturing or corporate environment will be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with audit requirements and statutory reporting obligations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
