Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Operations Management, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry (BSc), or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a chemical manufacturing or fast-paced factory environment.
  • Sound knowledge of factory regulations, labor management, industrial safety procedures, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong IT literacy and proficiency in Manufacturing Software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Ability to work independently and make critical operational decisions.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in production planning and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day factory operations to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor production schedules and manufacturing targets.
  • Coordinate with Stores, Procurement, and Logistics departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Ensure compliance with chemical handling procedures, workplace safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor machinery performance and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and manage factory laborers, technical staff, and production supervisors.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, efficiency summaries, and cost-control reports.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize resource utilization and operational costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between departments to achieve production objectives.
