Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- 2–3 years of working experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong academic achievements are encouraged to apply.
- Experience or strong understanding of bakery products, beverages, powder mix products, or meat processing applications will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of food applications and product development.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong presentation and product demonstration skills.
- Ability to commence employment immediately or within a short notice period is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop application formulations and prepare product prototypes.
- Identify opportunities to scale products using appropriate manufacturing processes and ingredients.
- Conduct product evaluations, analysis, and sensory testing to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Estimate product costs and prepare nutritional information and product specification sheets.
- Improve existing formulations and recommend ingredient replacement solutions based on market trends and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot customer issues related to ingredient applications and product performance.
- Analyze research and development findings and communicate technical insights effectively.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, and Marketing teams to support business objectives.
- Support product demonstrations and food styling activities when required.
- Conduct in-house shelf-life testing and maintain technical reports and laboratory records.
- Manage laboratory equipment, ingredients, and technical databases.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
