Qualifications & Experience
- Degree from a recognized university
- Higher Diploma or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Health & Safety, EHS, or a similar function
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred
- Sound understanding of occupational health and safety regulations
- Experience implementing workplace safety management systems
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 standards and compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations across the organization
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and other relevant industry standards
- Monitor and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Lead fire safety programs, emergency preparedness activities, and safety drills
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce workplace risks
- Ensure contractor safety compliance and equipment certification requirements
- Prepare and present safety performance reports to management
- Promote safety awareness through training and development programs
- Review and improve SOPs, work permit systems, and safety manuals
