Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) or an equivalent Health & Safety qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH and/or IOSH will be considered a distinct advantage.
  • Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ZDHC, and other internationally recognized management systems.
  • Knowledge of global compliance requirements including NIKE, SLCP, SMETA, Disney ILS, and related standards.
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Strong expertise in fire safety systems and emergency response management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Fire Safety Systems, emergency preparedness programs, and emergency response initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international Health & Safety standards.
  • Oversee critical safety management systems including Work Permit systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Contractor Safety programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
  • Lead safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations across manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workplace safety culture.
  • Monitor organizational compliance with customer and industry safety requirements.
  • Coordinate safety training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Ensure effective operation and maintenance of fire detection, sprinkler, hydrant, and emergency response systems.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters.
