Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (part qualification preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance functions.
- Previous experience in the hospitality or hotel industry will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel within Sri Lanka and overseas when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records for multiple hotel operations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial statements and variance analysis reports.
- Collaborate with hotel management teams to monitor financial performance and identify trends.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Conduct periodic audits and reviews of financial processes and internal controls.
- Support tax compliance activities and financial analysis projects.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
