Qualifications & Experience
- Successfully completed G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination.
- Degree or part professional qualification in CIMA, ACCA, CIM, ACA, AAT, or IBSL will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 03 years of experience at executive or managerial level within a licensed commercial bank or finance company.
- Exposure to Credit Management and Credit Services is essential.
- Strong understanding of credit assessment, risk evaluation, and lending processes.
- Good analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage operational responsibilities effectively.
- Fluency in English and Sinhala is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, structure, and prepare credit proposals for Board approval.
- Review and approve corporate, SME, and retail credit proposals within delegated authority limits.
- Support credit assessment and risk evaluation processes to maintain portfolio quality.
- Prepare reports and presentations for Credit Committee reviews and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines.
- Assist in developing and updating credit policies, procedures, and risk management tools.
- Supervise and coordinate staff to maintain high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with branch teams and the Credit Committee to facilitate credit approvals.
- Monitor credit portfolio performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
