Job Overview

Fintrex Finance PLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Branch Operations Incharge (Assistant Manager Grade) for its Kegalle Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted and compliant functioning of daily branch operations, overseeing teller and back-office activities, maintaining high customer service standards, enforcing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day branch operations while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise safe operations and dual-key control processes within the branch.
  • Monitor teller activities, gold loan operations, transaction processing, and documentation accuracy.
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and Central Bank regulations.
  • Lead customer service delivery and resolve branch-level operational issues.
  • Supervise and guide branch staff in the absence of the Branch Manager.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Gold Loan, Deposits, and Administration departments on branch-related matters.
  • Act as the designated branch operations lead during the Branch Manager’s absence.
  • Support audit processes and maintain zero tolerance for critical operational violations.
  • Maintain operational efficiency and regulatory compliance across all branch functions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or part/full professional qualification in Banking, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in branch operations, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, dual-control procedures, teller operations, and CBSL regulations.
  • Proven experience in branch administration and operational management.
  • Ability to work independently and handle operational escalations effectively.
