Qualifications & Experience

  • Full or part qualification in Banking from IBSL.
  • Diploma in Credit Management from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of banking experience.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a credit-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit processes, risk assessment, and banking regulations.
  • Good understanding of market trends, industry conditions, and economic factors affecting lending.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage SME credit portfolios and achieve targets related to advances, NPA reduction, and interest income.
  • Evaluate loan applications and prepare comprehensive credit proposals for approval.
  • Ensure loan disbursements are completed only after all security documentation requirements are fulfilled.
  • Administer bank guarantees, including issuance, renewals, cancellations, reversals, and monitoring activities.
  • Conduct site visits and post-disbursement monitoring to identify potential risks and early warning signals.
  • Manage Watchlist and NPA portfolios through proactive follow-ups and recovery initiatives.
  • Carry out periodic verification of pledged and pawned assets to ensure compliance and security.
  • Maintain high standards in credit operations and ensure adherence to internal policies and audit requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
