Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification in Banking and Finance, Diploma in Applied Banking and Finance, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Qualification or specialized knowledge in Islamic Banking will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Islamic Banking credit and/or operational functions.
- Prior experience in Islamic Credit Analysis and Islamic Banking products is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Murabaha, Diminishing Musharaka, Ijarah, and other Shariah-compliant financing structures.
- Applicants should be below 35 years of age.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and banking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve Islamic Banking Unit KPIs and business objectives with a focus on deposit and advances growth.
- Develop and strengthen revenue-generating customer relationships within the Islamic Banking segment.
- Assist in structuring Islamic Banking products while ensuring Shariah compliance.
- Conduct preliminary credit evaluations and prepare detailed credit appraisals.
- Support branch networks in identifying Islamic Banking business opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance relating to Islamic credit facilities and financing products.
- Monitor and improve the quality of the Islamic Banking credit portfolio.
- Collaborate with branch networks to implement portfolio recovery and management strategies.
- Support the execution of short-term and long-term Islamic Banking business strategies.

- Strong knowledge of Islamic Banking principles and products.
- Credit analysis and financial assessment expertise.
- Relationship management and business development skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent command of English, with fluency in Sinhala and/or Tamil being advantageous.
