Qualifications & Experience
- Successfully completed G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar IT support or application support role.
- Experience within the banking or financial services sector is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including query writing and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with enterprise application support environments.
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET and application support platforms will be an added advantage.
- Experience supporting core banking systems will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide second-level support for core banking application issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor system performance and escalate critical issues to vendors or technical teams.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new developments, upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Support application configuration, maintenance, and release deployment activities.
- Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Collaborate with business users and internal teams to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards, policies, and operational procedures.
- Assist in maintaining system stability and application performance.
Required Skills
- Strong SQL Server query writing and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of application support methodologies and best practices.
- Understanding of banking and financial systems.
- Familiarity with ASP.NET applications and enterprise software environments.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
