Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
  • Professional qualification in Human Resource Management is preferred.
  • Full or part qualification in Accounting from a recognized institution will be a definite advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR Operations.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits Management.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory compliance requirements, and employee relations practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms and payroll systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, confidentiality, and strong internal controls.
  • Validate payroll inputs and ensure compliance with statutory requirements including EPF, ETF, APIT/PAYE, and IRD regulations.
  • Design and implement payroll governance frameworks, controls, approvals, audit mechanisms, and process improvements.
  • Manage payroll vendors, ensuring SLA compliance, issue resolution, and operational optimization.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration, rewards programs, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Establish and maintain time and attendance governance frameworks.
  • Monitor attendance exceptions and resolve overtime-related discrepancies.
  • Drive integration between attendance and payroll systems while enhancing automation and process efficiency.
  • Analyze workforce attendance trends and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Manage employee insurance administration including enrollments, renewals, claims processing, and compliance.
  • Lead employee relations matters including disciplinary processes, investigations, and complex case management.
  • Advise managers on employee relations issues while ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
