Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or relevant educational qualification in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of the Sri Lankan local bilingual Mathematics curriculum.
- Ability to teach Mathematics in English.
- Experience in a similar coordination, leadership, or teaching role will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of academic performance analysis and departmental statistics.
- Previous experience in curriculum planning and educational management is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Mathematics teaching activities for Grades 6–11.
- Monitor and evaluate student academic performance within the department.
- Support curriculum planning and implementation aligned with educational standards.
- Guide and mentor Mathematics teachers to improve teaching effectiveness.
- Analyze departmental statistics and academic results to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure quality delivery of Mathematics education across assigned grade levels.
- Organize assessments, examinations, and academic development initiatives.
- Collaborate with school management, teachers, students, and parents to achieve educational goals.
