Qualifications & Experience
- Completion of High School education is required.
- G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification with at least simple passes in a minimum of two main subjects.
- Minimum two years of work experience involving regulations and law, customer service, public contact, administrative support, or problem-solving responsibilities.
- Good reading, writing, and speaking ability in English.
- Good reading, writing, and speaking ability in Sinhala or Tamil.
- Understanding of local governmental organizations, immigration laws, practices, and social systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nonimmigrant and immigrant visa services.
- Perform data entry and document review functions.
- Manage visa-related correspondence and passport manifesting activities.
- Support visa printing and processing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Consular Section procedures and visa guidelines.
- Identify and escalate issues when required.
- Rotate between Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) and Immigrant Visa (IV) sections as assigned.
- Provide high-quality customer service to visa applicants.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
