Company Overview
Lina Manufacturing, acquired by Sunshine in 2021, serves as the manufacturing arm of Sunshine Healthcare, specializing in respiratory products. It is the only local manufacturer of metered dose inhalers (MDIs) and a key manufacturer of dry powder inhalers (DPIs) in Sri Lanka. The company supplies a range of therapeutic products including dry powder capsules, tablets, nasal sprays, devices, and creams to both government and private sectors, with a strong focus on the treatment of asthma & COPD.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional qualifications such as CSCP, CSCM, or CIPS are considered an added advantage.
Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within the pharmaceuticals or FMCG sectors.
Experience in imports, customs clearance, and supplier compliance is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Execute end-to-end procurement activities aligned with approved MRP and company guidelines.
Ensure all purchases are secured through approved suppliers while maintaining timely order processing and delivery timelines.
Monitor supplier performance, ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory standards, and maintain accurate documentation for audit readiness.
Manage import-related procurement workflows by coordinating with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to guarantee efficient customs clearance and cost optimization.
Collaborate closely with internal functional teams to manage material availability and mitigate supply chain risks.
Required Skills
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Good knowledge of procurement processes, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical skills for assessing supplier performance and conducting spend analysis.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar tools) and Microsoft Office.
