Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc Nursing (Hons) or an equivalent Nursing Degree
  • Valid registration with the Sri Lanka Nursing Council (SLNC)
  • Minimum 10 years of nursing experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior nursing leadership role
  • Experience in nursing administration and healthcare management
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement systems
  • Experience with hospital accreditation standards such as JCI, ACHSI, or equivalent
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities
  • Female candidates and applicants below 45 years of age will have an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all nursing operations within the hospital
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, healthcare regulations, and hospital policies
  • Support accreditation, compliance, and clinical governance activities
  • Drive continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
