Qualifications & Experience
- BSc Nursing (Hons) or an equivalent Nursing Degree
- Valid registration with the Sri Lanka Nursing Council (SLNC)
- Minimum 10 years of nursing experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior nursing leadership role
- Experience in nursing administration and healthcare management
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement systems
- Experience with hospital accreditation standards such as JCI, ACHSI, or equivalent
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities
- Female candidates and applicants below 45 years of age will have an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all nursing operations within the hospital
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards, healthcare regulations, and hospital policies
- Support accreditation, compliance, and clinical governance activities
- Drive continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Manage nursing workforce planning, development, and performance management
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing teams across all departments
- Collaborate with hospital management and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Monitor and improve patient care outcomes and service quality
- Promote professional development and nursing excellence throughout the organization
